191%

higher than the objective

Regarding our goal of raising £600, we exceeded it by raising a total of £1746.28 through offline and online events, 191% above the target. It was heart-warming and blessed to see how many people took the time to support our event or donate online.

All money raised was donated to Orchard Vale Trust directly.

Offline Fundraising

Charity Sale

Bake and t-shirt sale was on 13th August at Kingsmead Square. Students, tourists and local people were the main participants of the sale. 35 t-shirts and about 100 pieces of bake products which were provided by Edgie Eats and Nata & Co, were planned to sell. The price of the bake products was suggested for £2 or above and the t-shirts were suggested for £20.

On the sale, we raised for £818.28 in total, which included £775 for card payment and £43.28 for cash. For the result of the donations by card, £70 was raised by the bake sale and £85 was for extra donations. Meanwhile, the t-shirts were sold out thankfully and raised for £620. People who donated by cash were mostly for bake products. Our offline sale was finished successfully. The total amount we raised on the sale (£818.28) was about 4 times more than we expected (£200).

Online Fundraising

eBay Sale

The t-shirt sale on eBay began on August 4th, with the link included in the Linktr.ee on both the Orchard Vale Trust official website and Instagram. We realised that some supporters who live outside of Bath might not be able to attend the charity sale and get one of the sales, so we launched the eBay sale to reach a larger audience and make it more convenient for them with direct delivery.

Until the 13th of August, a total of 5 t-shirts were sold, raising £100. Due to the high demand for t-shirts at the charity sale, there was only a limited supply left, and we had to take down the eBay sale on August 13th. We were both surprised and grateful for the number of people who acquired the t-shirts and raised awareness for the charity.
